Our History
Traditional Woodworks was founded in 1986 by Michael Pouliotte, a craftsman with a background in boatbuilding—an industry where precision, durability, and problem-solving are essential. That foundation laid the groundwork for a woodworking company built on a deep respect for traditional techniques.
As Mike transitions to new endeavors, he has entrusted the company to Brooks Hausser, a fellow craftsman with a boatbuilding background. Now serving as president, Brooks and his partners remain dedicated to the same values that built Traditional Woodworks— integrity and respect for the craft.

Brooks Hausser
Brooks holds a BFA in architecture and building science & technology, demonstrating a well-rounded blend of design and technical expertise. With over a decade of experience in the construction and marine industries, he has excelled in project management roles, particularly in architectural millwork and boatbuilding.
Known for his attention to detail, Brooks consistently delivers exceptional craftsmanship. His comprehensive skill set and deep industry knowledge make him uniquely qualified for complex builds, ensuring high-quality results across every project.
